Therapy Rates

Rates: $150 per 50-minute session

Accepted Forms of Payment:

I accept payment via debit or credit card, HSA or FSA card, and other contactless payments at the end of each session. Paying with a Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account is a great option, as you can use pre-tax contributions to pay for therapy.

Out of Network Billing:

I do not accept insurance at this time. However, if you receive Out of Network (OON) benefits from your insurance coverage, I can offer a receipt of services (called a superbill) with appropriate details for you to request reimbursement from your insurance provider, if applicable.

Benefits of Self-Pay:

When a therapist bills an insurance company they must provide a diagnosis to justify their treatment. This diagnosis may become part of your permanent medical record. Therapists that use the self-pay option, do not provide any information to insurance providers, which increases confidentiality. Additionally, self-pay allows you and your therapist to decide the treatment plan, frequency, and duration of appointments, not your insurance provider.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance, or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.
